Meet Molly, the “M” behind MMC Interiors
My name is Molly Costello, and I use interior design to help people create homes that reflect what they believe in. I believe thoughtful design is about more than choosing furniture or paint colors. It's about making space for your family, your friendships, your history, and your experiences. Those are the things that tell your story and make a home feel alive.
I'm a D.C. transplant and cozy-home enthusiast, working with clients near and far through MMC Interiors.
I grew up in a home filled with creativity and imagination. I moved often, from the Philadelphia suburbs to the South, back to the Northeast, and eventually throughout the D.C. area. Every move gave me the chance to reimagine my space. No matter where we lived, the first rooms I unpacked were always the bedroom and the kitchen, the places that made a house feel like home.
In every home, our kitchen doubled as a craft station, stocked with bits and bobs waiting to become something new. Pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, shrinky-dink paper, colorful plastic lace cord, polymer clay, gallons of glue for slime, yarn for knitting, feathers, glitter, beads, and embroidery supplies filled every drawer. I was lucky enough to create with all of it. I always had the freedom to experiment with textiles, try new techniques, and design straight from my imagination.
As an adult, moving from one high-rise apartment to the next taught me something unexpected. While I hate moving, I love reinventing a space. Reusing, repurposing, and redesigning pieces to make each home feel intentional and lived in became second nature. Those experiences shaped my belief that a home should grow with you, reflect where you've been, and support where you're going.
At MMC Interiors, I help clients make confident design decisions, from selecting paint colors and textiles to incorporating antiques and vintage finds. Whether we're creating a gallery wall, reimagining a single room, or planning an addition, every space has the opportunity to be both beautiful and deeply personal. My goal is to create homes filled with warmth, comfort, and meaning, homes that tell your story and are a joy to share with the people you love.
